DONATE $$$ TO SUPPORT LOCAL JOURNALISM

Like anything good and decent, The Atlanta Citizen requires operating dollars in order to sustain itself. It’s not in this business of journalism to make money or to generate profits to satisfy stockholders, mainly because it sees good journalism and an informed citizenry as being at the heart of a healthy democracy, but The Atlanta Citizen does need continued monetary support in order to sustain its daily operations. There are expenses like there would be with any organization, nonprofit or profit. And its reporters need to eat, too!

We’ll give you the content for free, but help us out if you like it!

The Atlanta Citizen, a Georgia-registered limited liability company (LLC),  is currently in the process of seeking to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization as defined by the IRS in much the same fashion in which similar endeavors have launched in San Diego, Calif., the state of Minnesota and other locales like St. Louis, the Gateway to the West. It is the hope of the organization to have its official nonprofit status from the IRS by the end of summer 2010.

We’ll be posting official sponsorship opportunities very soon, so stay tuned. And if you’d like to advertise with us, that’s possible, too. But if you’d still like to donate, and believe us when we say we could use it, feel free to do so below via our link with PayPal.

All contributions, big or small, are much appreciated and certainly help defray travel and operating expenses.
